What is a physical disability?

A physical disability is a disability that impacts a person’s capability to perform physical tasks or functions. Physical disabilities can be developmentally related or can happen later in life from accidents, traumatic experiences, general disease or aging.

How do I care for an adult with physical impairments?

To care for adults or elderly adults with physical impairments, caregivers typically stay with the adult to help them perform necessary tasks like shopping, cleaning or helping with tasks around the home.

What is a DHEC Caregiver?

At Elite Home Care, we have DHEC caregivers, meaning we are certified via the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. But we don’t stop there. Many of our caregivers have their First Aid, CPR and CNA certifications and if they don’t, we provide training before assigning them with patients.
